Culture

Looking for the perfect drink to accompany a mouthwatering serving of Caviar? Connoisseurs recommend a French Champagne, brut only, because the bubbles perfectly complement the “pop” of Caviar eggs. Others prefer the traditional favorite, a high-quality Russian Vodka, which is believed to refresh the palette between swallows.

History

In the early 17th century, Galileo proudly sent a container of Caviar to his illegitimate daughter at her convent in Florence. Unaware of the exquisiteness of fish roe, the girl wrote that she, "threw the suspicious dark jelly away."

Nutrition

Caviar has long been appreciated for its exceptional nutritional value. The fish roe are rich in the proteins Arginine, Histamine, Isoleucine, Lysine and Methionine.
